Advice: How To Get Healthy Hair!

Here are a few tips for healthy hair AND stick to the end to find out when another post will be uh, posted.  Plus, there's a question that needs answering at then end of this post!

HELPFUL TIPS
  • Comb your hair BEFORE you wash it, thataways, when you comb through it after you wash it, it won't be all tangled and your hair will not fall out as much
  • Don't ever use a brush to brush out wet hair.  It pulls your hair out! Using a wide-toothed comb is best for this job.
  • This will sound really gross, but DON'T wash your hair for a one day every week! No product, nothing! This will allow the natural oils in your hair to cover your hair and keep it well, healthy.  It might get really greasy, but it'll actually very nutritious for your hair.  Trust me. If you use a lot of product during the week, then you need to do this.  All the heat you use on your hair is very damaging if you do it daily.
    •  This practice isn't as bad as it seems.  Just keep your hair in a pony tail and it shouldn't bother you as much.
    • I suggest doing this on the weekend so people don't freak about your hair being "greasy".
  • If you have really oily hair, like me, do not use any HYDRATING shampoo/conditioner.  That stuff is for people with DRY hair, not oily hair.  Watch out for Herbal Essence Hydralicious shampoo line, avoid it my oily friends!
  • Dry hair? Use your favorite lotion (yes, lotion!) and apply about pea size or so (depends on how long your hair is) to your hair and run it through.  Remember: keep it low-key because too much will make it look and feel greasy.
    • People with oily hair should NOT try this.
  • When curling or straighten your hair, don't do anything to the ends.  The ends of your hair are the oldest part of your hair so adding heat will speed up the dryness of the hair (changing color from dark to light). Could cause split ends.
  • Whenever you curl or straighten your hair, make sure you use heat protectant spray or shampoo. Protects hair from heat.  Duh!
  • Make sure you use conditioner on the ends of your hair, it'll slow down the progression of dead ends.

Enjoy these tips.  Questions are always welcome!  The next post won't be till either tomorrow or next week.  Very busy my friends.

Oh, and can you guess what happens 10 days from now?
