Lost: The Final Season Theories and How To Fix Fried Hair

94
I had to tape the last show of Lost.  I watched it two days ago.  Wow.  Just wow.  I don't know whether to be happy or upset.

**SPOILER ALERT**

Favorite scene:
I would say when Jack and Kate are saying goodbye.
When Kate actually says "I love you" I was like YES! because throughout this whole season their relationship was on the fence to me.  I never exactly knew if they really did care about each other or if the relationship was a test drive and just didn't turn out right.  Plus, Kate is the type of person who has trust issues and doesn't do well with men.  So the fact that they confirmed the status of their feelings for each other is the one thing that is most satisfying from this show.

My theory:
If you watched Jimmy Kimmel, you would have seen that scene where Jack is on the plane and there is some turbulence.
The camera zooms in and his eyes dilate and then a few seconds later, the turbulence stops.  In that moment, I agree with Kimmel, that in that nanosecond Jack and the others had crashed on the island.  However here is my additional theories.  Before the turbulence, they were on the plane alive --> turbulence--> nanosecond= crash and the 6 seasons of the show we all know and love--> turbulence ended--> this is the part where their journey they created comes in.  When the crash didn't happen this is when their "world" begins. They make it so that in their utopia, the plane didn't crash, the island is gone, and they make their prefered changes.  Changes that help them find one another.  (ex.  Sayid isn't married to his love from his military days in this version, but she's married to his brother.  In affect,  he is not tied down to her and can be with Shannon).

I like to believe the island was like rehab.  I guess fixing them and testing them so they can be ready to "move on".

And then there's the question when they died. I believe that they died when they well, died. For example, Jin and Sun on the sub.  Jack in the forest. Hurley and Ben years later after Jack's death. Kate, Sawyer, and Claire on the plane in the last episode with Alpert, the ghost whisperer (I forgot his name), and the pilot (In the credits, it shows plane debre and foot prints.  I believe that's their plane that crashed and Hurley and Ben surveyed the wreckage looking for survivors.)

Lastly,  the church scene with Christian Shepard opening the doors of the church and all.  It's the twelve Apostles and Jesus!

Christian Shepherd (Jesus Christ)
  1. Jack
  2. Kate
  3. Locke
  4. Desmond
  5. Sayid
  6. Sawyer
  7. Charlie
  8. Hurley
  9. Jin
  10. Sun
  11. Claire
  12. Ben (Not in the church [Judas]) or Aaron or Juliet

HOW TO FIX FRIED HAIR!
Is your hair dead, discolored, or split-ended?  Do you use too much product or hair styling tools like: curling irons, flat irons, or blow dryers? Here are some simple, easy ways to fix that limp, dried up hair!
  1. Buy a repairing shampoo and conditioner
    1. If you can't find repairing shampoo and conditioner, look for moisturizing and/or nutrition shampoo and conditioner.  This will hydrate your dried hair and help it start to recover its color.
  2. Try to cut back on the hair styling tools and products.  Sometimes your hair needs a break from all the strain and heat you put on it.  Go a whole day without using hairspray, gel, wax, and heat on your hair.  If you don't like your hair in your face when it's dirty then tie it back with elastic and put on a headband or some cool clips.  It's going to feel weird not putting anything to your hair, but trust me its total worth it in the end.
    1. Can't go a day without blow drying or straightening? Then use a heat protecting product before using that flat iron or bow dryer! This will keep the your hair from frying really bad.
  3. Split ends? Get them trimmed!  The best way to get rid of dead ends or split ends is by cutting them off completely.

Love (original poem)

93!

Dedicated to those who question love, like me, and also the broken hearted. <3

Love is a tragedy
  It can not be conquered
    Nor destroyed

Love is unseen
  Untouched
  ...but felt

Love is the most wanted piece of treasure
  but also...
    the most destructive

Love is unbelievable
  Not faithful
       Misleading
           Despised
                   Hated

However...

 Love can renew
  Can save
Can lead us down the path of self-realization and draw us to a new, more fulfilling

Existence

The Color of Water

I finished a book a week or so ago.

It's called The Color Of Water by James McBride. And it is an a fantastic book.

It's about a man who had a white mother and a black father.  His mother raised 12 kids by herself for most of her adult life after both of her husbands died.  In this book not only are you hearing his memories of his childhood and so forth, but also the story of his mother's past (something she never discussed with her children before).  It opens your eyes to the kind of hardship no one ever thinks about and what faith can do to a person.

I loved this book, though it was sad at some points, though there was some humor in there which earned  brownie points from me.
~~~~~~~~
As a project, I drew portraits of Ruth (the mother of James McBride) and James (though his portrait didn't turn out as well as I wanted it too).
I took a picture of it to share with you guys.  (Though keep in mind, it's not the completed project.)
This is my own picture.  Do not take it and say it is your own.  You need consent to use this picture!
I took this after I had finished Ruth.  She is my first finished woman portrait ever drawn successfully.  (There was this one a while back, but it came out really bad [because she had exposing teeth].)
After I took this picture, I darkened her hair a bit, fixed the chin, and shaded a bit more so she did look so monotonous.  Then for James I did some drastic fixes on him.  I made the top of his head taller, fixed his hair, narrowed his face, and touched up on his eyebrows and eyes.  The major problem I had with James's portrait was that his eyes were drawn farther apart than how it was suppose to be drawn.  I didn't realize this until I was done shading, and I knew I couldn't fix it without completely starting over. (BTW I didn't trace anything [people sometimes think I traced my work for some reason but the canvas is poster board sooo...], I just eyeballed it.)
If you'd like to compare portrait to actual picture then here are the pictures I used:
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK! I THRIVE ON CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM!
Ally-Cat's Favorite Playist
Hello! These are the songs that you'll never see my skip on my ipod.  They are my favorites.  So let me know what you think. Tell me what your favorite song is and why! (In case you're not too observant: if you click on the title of the songs you'll get listen to them!)
Enjoy, Loves!
Away From The Sun by 3 Doors Down
I guess everyone loses themselves, and fall deep into hole of their own wrongs.  This song just emphasizes the feeling of this loss.
Pony (It's Ok) by Erin McCarley
I love the piano and her voice is so beautiful.  Also, the beat is catchy.
Won't Go Home Without You by Maroon 5
I just like the context of this song. That a man would do anything to get the girl he loves back.  That, and I like this band. ;)
Say (All I Need) by OneRepublic
I like how this song talks about looking at ourselves a second time and thinking about what we truly need.
Born For This by Paramore
This is my rock out song.  WOOOOO! *hahahaaha*
That's What You Get by Paramore
This is a nice reminder that love can do some crazy things to people and that even when we are in a state of being in love, we need to keep our heads straight otherwise we could get ourselves hurt. . .
Unbreakable by Fireflight
I like this song because it helps me remember not to let people rip apart your confidence, but instead make you stronger.
Better Days by Goo Goo Dolls
So take these words..and sing out loud..'cause everyone is forgettin' now...
That tonight's the night the world begins again...
This is one of those songs that makes you smile.  Like when it rains all day and then the sun starts to shine through the clouds and the world looks renewed. Yeeeaaaaa. Good times.
Bottle It Up by Sara Bareilles
This reminds me of a quote from a the movie Moulin Rouge which is this: "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."
Change by Taylor Swift
Haha, the funny thing is I was listening to this song when I was reading Breaking Dawn and I was at the point where the Cullens and their "troops" meet with the Volturi.  It felt like one of those moments when things just come together perfectly and you had no hand in it, and all you can say is "Wow, I can't believe this just happened."
I guess what really makes me like this song is that it give me hope.
And really, hope is only the beginning of a change ... right?
