Transformers: Dark of the Moon 3D Movie Review

I never, ever seen any of the transformer movies until just recently.  To me, they seemed to be kind of stupid.  I guess they just never appealed to me. Anyways, last week my friend asked me if I wanted to see a movie, of course I said yes.  But then she mentioned Transformers, and immediately I went, bleeeeh, do we have to? However, with some thought I figured I'd be a good friend and watch it with her, even if I wasn't to fond of going.

Let me just ask you something.  What is the longest movie you've sat through?  An hour and a half? Maybe two? Okay, first off, this movie is 2 hours and 40 minutes long.  That's almost 3 hours people! Talk about butt numbing time!  Basically, it was a good movie, which to me was kind of surprising.  The plot was so-so, but the intensity was on FIRE. By the end of the movie, my friend and I were literally yelling at the screen.  We were so emotionally attached to it.  The movie is insanely packed with action and the effects are AWESOME.

The 3Dness of it was lacking I think, and really just an eyesore.  Nothing ever jumped out or anything.  And it would have had the same effect if didn't have the 3D crap. But that's it.  Really, just an okay plot and annoying 3D glasses.

Would I recommend this? Yes. Though be warned about the longevity of it and that your eyes get really strained after a while.

Be prepared for a few surprises.

Enjoy, movie goers. :)

Chihuahua Scares Off Robbers

YAAAAAA CHIHUAHUAS! So apparently these two guys entered the store with a rifle. The store owners chihuahua of 5 years came running out and scared off the robbers. (However, they did manage to take $200.) But the dog was not fazed when they stuck the gun in his face.  He even chased them down the street.

Would you have been able to do that?

Chihauhuas rule.

Movie Review: Horrible Bosses

So I forgot the trio's names, but I came up with nicknames: (L-R) The Annoying Idiot, The Manwhore, and The "Normal" Guy.  You might recognize the Manwhore from a NBC show...think you can name it?

In case you don't know exactly what Horrible Bosses it is about these three who have really awful bosses, and they come up with this plan to murder them so that their lives (and the lives of others) will be much easier.  The "Normal" Guy has a manipulative and greedy boss, who treats all his employers like cow pie.  The Manwhore has a boss who use inherited the company from his father (the previous boss); he's a big douche/druggie.  And finally, the Annoying Idiot has a sexually harassing female boss who trys to do some "kinky" stuff with him during work.  All of them get to the point where they feel that it is their duty as citizens to exterminate their bosses for the better good. The whole story then focuses on they taking this idea to action. Of course, they couldn't have a great movie without its fair share of misfortune and snappy banter.

I really liked this movie! It was very funny and quote-able. The plot was okay for a comedy, but what made it was the chemistry between the actors.

Yes, I would recommend this movie.  I'd say it's a good friend-hang-out movie. With a date it might be a bit awkward (especially if it's your first).  Remember this movie is rated R.  Though there is no sexual content, there is crude humor.

Hey everyone, I'm glad to be back! I'm extremely sorry for lacking this summer. A lot of stuff is happening than last summer, so blogging time kind of diminishes. :( I'm trying to work on checking my email and formspring. I hope people haven't forgotten me...

I missed you all!

IT GETS BETTER (Being Gay Is Not A Sin.)

You, with your words like knifes, and swords

and weapons that you use against me.
You, have knocked me of my feet again,
got me feelin' like a nothin'.

You, with your voice like nails on a chalkboard
calling me out when I'm wounded.
You, picking on a weaker man.
You can take me down with just one single blow.
But you don't know, what you don't know..
~"Mean" by Taylor Swift
I saw that commercial that had this project advertised in it. And recently, with all the troubles that I keep seeing in this world, something uplifting like that just couldn't be ignored.  So here, just minutes ago, I looked up the video above. Let me tell you if you haven't pressed play let, do it now. Such wonderful people.  How fantastic that they've been together for 16 years.  And they even have a son. They are human beings that walk this earth just like anyone else.  They are beautiful children of God.

I want to say something.
I'm Catholic.
I'm not going to deny that.
I love God.
I believe in Jesus.
I believe that we are born equal and good.
There is nothing wrong with being gay.
Nothing.
I truly believe that if you love someone then you should be with them,
no matter their gender.
I will not stand for those people who think it's "disgusting".
Those people are disgusting.
And if preachers of my faith try to tell me that God favors those kind of people then
they are blind.
The God I believe in does not turn his head away from the children that are "different in orientation" than his other children.

And to all those bullies out there:
May God have mercy on your soul.

So if you are gay, bi, lesbian, or transgender please listen.
This will get better.
Maybe not right away.
But it will.
You know why?
You can make yourself stronger.
Instead of cowering in the corner of the locker room,
or eating lunch in the bathroom everyday,
put yourself out there.
Keep your head high.
Feet in place.
Walk with purpose.
With dignity.
Because out there, there are people who care.
Even big name people care:
Anne Hathaway, Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Chris Colfer, etc.
We all love you.
Did you hear that?
The real you.
Please.
Don't hurt yourself.
Don't hid.
Life will get better.
Take it from the hundreds of people who post on

Be strong.
Love,
Ally-Cat
