IT GETS BETTER (Being Gay Is Not A Sin.)

You, with your words like knifes, and swords

and weapons that you use against me.
You, have knocked me of my feet again,
got me feelin' like a nothin'.

You, with your voice like nails on a chalkboard
calling me out when I'm wounded.
You, picking on a weaker man.
You can take me down with just one single blow.
But you don't know, what you don't know..
~"Mean" by Taylor Swift
I saw that commercial that had this project advertised in it. And recently, with all the troubles that I keep seeing in this world, something uplifting like that just couldn't be ignored.  So here, just minutes ago, I looked up the video above. Let me tell you if you haven't pressed play let, do it now. Such wonderful people.  How fantastic that they've been together for 16 years.  And they even have a son. They are human beings that walk this earth just like anyone else.  They are beautiful children of God.

I want to say something.
I'm Catholic.
I'm not going to deny that.
I love God.
I believe in Jesus.
I believe that we are born equal and good.
There is nothing wrong with being gay.
Nothing.
I truly believe that if you love someone then you should be with them,
no matter their gender.
I will not stand for those people who think it's "disgusting".
Those people are disgusting.
And if preachers of my faith try to tell me that God favors those kind of people then
they are blind.
The God I believe in does not turn his head away from the children that are "different in orientation" than his other children.

And to all those bullies out there:
May God have mercy on your soul.

So if you are gay, bi, lesbian, or transgender please listen.
This will get better.
Maybe not right away.
But it will.
You know why?
You can make yourself stronger.
Instead of cowering in the corner of the locker room,
or eating lunch in the bathroom everyday,
put yourself out there.
Keep your head high.
Feet in place.
Walk with purpose.
With dignity.
Because out there, there are people who care.
Even big name people care:
Anne Hathaway, Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Chris Colfer, etc.
We all love you.
Did you hear that?
The real you.
Please.
Don't hurt yourself.
Don't hid.
Life will get better.
Take it from the hundreds of people who post on

Be strong.
Love,
Ally-Cat
