Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Movie Review

I never got to see the third installment of the POTC, which I heard was beast, so I wondered if that would effect my experience in watching the 4th movie, On Stranger Tides. It didn't, I'm glad to say. It was very well done.  Penelope Cruz did a FANTASTIC job.  I didn't think she could do it, but by golly she did.  And yes, she is the love interest of Jack Sparrow.  (So don't ask me, because I just told you. Don't' worry, it's not like it's some big secret; I didn't spoil anything.)

Let first say that I did not see this movie in 3D.  I wish I had, but at the time it wasn't my choice.

Overall it was a very good movie.  I missed seeing Will and Elizabeth, but the new cast was enough that it wasn't at all disappointing.  I love the mermaid chick; I think her name is Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey. Then there's Black Beard played by Ian McShane.  He plays a great bad guy. Oh and let's not forget the newbie, Sam Claflin, who plays the hunky new "pirate".

Also, something to note: the movie is well over an hour and a half long.  It's just a little over two or more. Yeah, that's right; you heard me right, pal.  So if this is going to be some kind of date movie, let me suggest going to dinner before hand.

Do I think there's going to be sequel? Hell yes.

Do you think there should be a sequel? Hell no.

Why? The series can only go so long before its plot just becomes to tiresome and boring.  Yes, the writers and directors have done a wonderful job of keeping the characters and plots alive, but how long can that last? One more won't hurt, I guess.  But anymore that that is just ridiculous.

Like some great theological dude said, " All good things must come to an end...."

At Least I Know I'm Free...

Dear God,

I'm proud be an American because at least I know I'm free. And I will not forget those men who died, that gave that right to me.  I'll proudly stand up next to them and will defend with them all the way.

There ain't no doubt. I love this land.

God, please bless the USA.

Love,
The American People

Amazing, Hilarious Youtube Videos 4

Promised for a while now, so here it is!

This group of musicians, Parachute, is amazing.  I love that they have such expressive music that sounds so sweet and catchy.  I love Will.  He's a sweetheart.  :)  So these first couple of videos are of the band.  I'm very obsessed as you'll see soon.

Parachute Does Yoga

Parachute Episode 5 (Go-Kart Race)

Parachute Episode 1 (Buying a Sword!)

Parachute TMZ - I love how Will says "scoop". <3

Music:

She Is Love

Under Control

Kiss Me Slowly

Comment below if you like what you hear! :)

Moving on to some other videos...

Super 8 Trailer - I am really surprised this video hasn't gotten over a million view yet. Right now it only has 50,000.

Captain America Trailer - Once again, everyone talks about this movie but there's barely any views... like 45,000. Okayy, maybe that's a lot to some people... but this is a big deal, y'all, since they're setting all these movies up for an Avengers movie (Iron Man, Thor, Capt. America...)

Zach Galifianakis SNL Monologue - This guy is great. One of the best monologues I've seen in a while. Well done.

The Awkwardest and Most Terrible Interview Ever- Bradley Cooper & Justin Bartha Hangover  interview was baaaaad. It was very awful.  Just painful to watch.  Her questions were terrible and that gosh awful sound fx maker was the icing on the cake.

Anyways, that's really all I got.  Hope you enjoyed.

Easy 5 Minute Way To Get Great Wavy Hair

What You Will Need:
  • 1 1/2 inch curling iron (ceramic is highly recommended)
  • clip or hair tye
  • heat protectant spray
  • brush
  • hairspray
  • mirror
Tutorial:
1. Plug in iron and set it to around 365 degrees
2. Start out by brushing your hair to get rid of the tangles
3. Spritz some heat protectant spray to prevent split ends/fried, damaged hair
4. Section off hair by clipping or tying the top half of your hair up. You'll want to do this to gain volume and texture!
5. Start curling! Clamp the iron an inch before the root and drag it down slowly until you're 3/4s of the way to the hair.  From there, curl the iron toward you're face; keep dragging the device down until you're at the end of the piece of hair.  To save time, curl big sections. (2-4 inches depending on how much hair you have.)
6. Touch up if needed and hairspray lightly.

Helpful Tips:
  • If you have thick hair, try to do a "inward, outward" pattern of curling.  This will minimize the "poofiness" that can sometimes happen when curls are facing inwards.
  •  Before moving on to the next section, check to make sure you got every piece.  Do quick touch ups if necessary. This saves time and the bottom curls will be less likely to fall out throughout the day.
  •  If you have bangs, instead of curling inwards, curl outwards. It gives you more texture.
  • I've said this many times over, but I'll say it again: regular metal irons do not work. Not only do they damage your hair, but they take forever to heat up and they don't hold curls for very long.  Ceramic or tourmaline-made irons are better for your hair (Though that does not mean that they do not damage your hair! That just means that they don't damage it as much as regular metallic ones.), they hold a curl better, and they heat up in less than a minute.  Not only that, but they give you're hair a glossy sheen to it.
  • ALWAYS, ALWAYS use heat protectant! It's so easy to overlook, but trust me, it's worth it!
  • I suggest after using any heating device on you're hair to use a repairing shampoo and/or conditioner.  You can usually find these items at a local drugstore.
The finished product should look something like this.
